Hi all,

Ill be heading to FP in june with my girlfriend and will be staying on bora bora for about 2 weeks and wanted to see if the chez nono has availability, i tried to mail them but there was no reply as i expected! The problem is that we are backpacking and are not 100% sure of the exact date we will be arriving on, it depends on the ferrys and what days this supposed new ferry runs to bora bora on?

Also, would the people at chez nono speak english so i could just call them?

Thanks for any help!

You might want to fax Chez Nono: (689)67-74-27. Type up your request in English, but then also use an online free translation site (like www.freetranslation.com) and cut and paste your text into French as well below the English text. Make sure you include your email address so they can contact you back.

Give them a few days... they are expecting a bad storm this weekend, and there may be power outages.

I travel to tahiti : the best place is Pension TE MITI - very friendly atmosphere - very nice breakfast - transfer airport - near the beach
to moorea : Pension mark's place - very good adress too
and for bora bora : robert and tina or rosina is two good adresses - very easy by bus - Matira pointe : the best of bora bora

Looks nice. Good prices (except for the transfers, especially if you're using it as an overnighter before heading out to the other islands, but I guess that's not the crowd they're after). And I like that they'll store luggage if you return to stay one night. That would be handy if we ever decide to combine a trip to FP with one to Australia or New Zealand.

From what I understand Beni at Fare Suisse will hold your luggage for you too. We met at couple in Moorea last month who had stayed at Fare Suisse, headed to Moorea for a week, and then back to Fare Suisse before going on their cruise. Beni held all their extra cruise luggage for them so they didn't have to drag it over to Moorea.

Very cool. I was definitely impressed with your description of Fare Suisse. Did you see ATN has a deal on flights to Tahiti from various cities around North America? Too bad we're both too busy to take them up on them (3 month maximum stay--they finally got it!).

Yes I did see the sale. It's actually very good if you are traveling from somewhere other than Southern California AND if you are moving on to an island other than Tahiti or Moorea. Plus, it DOESN'T have a 5 or 7 max stay! Overall, I'd say it's a very big step in the right direction.

What's funny about the 3 month stay though.....it's only good from mid April through Mid June....that's only 2 months! LOL!
