Planning a July honeymoon and was considering the Tahiti Travel package of 3 days each on Moorea, Bora Bora, and Tahaa. 10 days total staying at the Pearl with over water bungalows.
Was thinking this would give us a nice sampling of the different islands.
Anyone with an opinion for or against ?

I think it's a good start if this is your first time. You'll want to stay longer next time! (I can guarantee you will be hooked like the rest of us...!) We stayed at the Pearl on BB and loved it. Very nice location. Enjoy your trip and congratulations!

I think that sounds like a great taste of 3 islands. Personally, we like to spend at least 5 nights on an island, but with your time limitations, you'd only fit in 2. I haven't been to Tahaa, but I'd love to see it some day. If you're trying to save money, you could downgrade to a non-overwater bungalow on Moorea, but, heck, it's your honeymoon so why not stick with the OW bungalows the whole time?

I don't want to feel rushed. So maybe squeezing in 3 different islands is too much ? I haven't heard much about Tahaa. Will I be missing something special if I skip it to spend an extra days on Moorea and Bora Bora ?

It's really up to you. Some people here are happy with 3 nights somewhere (remember 3 nights is 2 full days plus the parts of days you're travelling there & on to the next island). We love to settle in and explore and get the real feeling of an island (as much as you can in less than a week!). Other people just really want to see as much as they can, especially if they'll only be there once. Moorea is a beautiful, lush, mountainous island with lots to do and I recommend everyone go there. Bora Bora has a beautiful lagoon and the view of the island from any of the motus is breathtaking, but the main area the tourists go to lacks Polynesian realism to me (it's too touristy for my taste). I haven't been to Taha'a, but I understand it's a wonderful, quiet getaway spot and would be especially great on a honeymoon. And many long-timers here say Le Taha'a is the nicest resort in FP (not over-the-top luxurious like the new resorts on Bora Bora, but classy and Polynesian). Me, I wouldn't spend more than 3 nights on Bora Bora (a few others here love it and would disagree), but I think Moorea could use more. If you're really limited to 9 nights on the islands, I'm not sure what to suggest. Do you want to laze around and look at the beautiful views or do you want to be active a lot?

Ronscuba,
Welcome to the forum!
As Old Wife said, it's really up to you, depending on whether you prefer to relax a bit or see and do as much as possible.
One thing to remember is that getting between the islands often takes longer than you would think. Although the flight times between the islands seems relatively short, there is transport time to the airport, some waiting around, the flight, then transport time to the new hotel, then waiting around again for your room to be ready, not to mention packing and unpacking and settling in. So you are generally looking about 1/2 day of transit, sometimes more, when you leave one island and go to another, even if the schedule shows only a 1 hour flight between them.
Most hotels have a checkout time of 10 or 11 a.m., and don't have check-in available until 2 or 3 p.m. This is true even in low season, because, although though they may have vacancies, they have cut back on cleaning staff and have limited time to clean and freshen the rooms. So you might be leaving one island early and getting to the next island before your room is ready.
These are just factors to consider when planning on seeing 3 islands in ten days. For some people, it's no problem. For other people, they will find the frequent transit bothersome, and feel like it detracts from the amount of time they have to enjoy there.
