Best time of year to go to Tahiti and Moorea weather wise ?

I am going from mid august. Is this a good time to visit the islands, weather wise ?

Any time of year is great because you're in paradise! We've gone in November both times (for a total of over 5 weeks) and we had a bit of rain here & there (even though it's either the rainy season or close to it), but never a full day and usually got lots of rain-free days. Plan your vacation for when you want to be there, not for when you think it will be perfect weather-wise. And even when it rains, it's hot and the water's still wet and inviting.

Funny you should say "the water's still wet and inviting" Old Wife. We went for a swim at the beach yesterday here and the water was 24 degrees C and it felt freezing after our last swim in the ocean was at Bora Bora. Better start planning our return!

I've been all times of year, and think mid-August to October is excellent! The weather is fantastic, not too hot or rainy, and the kids have all gone back to school.
