Has anyone ever flown AF to PPT? They have a new class of service called Premium Voyager. Looks like an upgraded economy cabin. Also considering their Business class as it is about 1K less than ATN. Anyone ever fly business on AF? We did fly economy on AF years ago and I didn't like it. They do the 3-3-3 seating vs. ATN 2-4-2. I'll have to wait until Patti returns and ask her how it was.

Unfortunately they don't fly to Australia. Air New Zealand doesn't fly to Tahiti anymore either, so we're left with only one option - ATN. We even have to code share to Auckland now.

Joe, We flew Air France ONCE, on our first trip to FP fifteen years ago. They BUMPED us from our midnight flight from LAX, telling us to go to a hotel and come back tomorrow! We did not agree to this, so at the very last minute they placed on an AOM flight that was departing, in very awful seats (I was actually put in a jump seat!). To make up for this, they surprised us by upgrading us to first class on the way back, and it was WONDERFUL! But after that experience, we never flew with them again, and swtiched to ANZ, and then ATN.
Their prices are looking better than ATN's these days, though I still hate their red-eye schedule both ways. I too am anxious to hear how Patti liked their service, compared to ATN.

Barbi, now it's a red-eye going and an 0820 AM flight coming back. So you have to spend the night prior to your flight on Tahiti. As far as ATN, I'm trying to work it so I have red-eye flights both ways. That way, I arrive early in the AM and depart late at night. No over nights on Tahiti either way.

Joe, I forgot about that 8:20 a.m. return, which requires an overnight in Papeete, with a really early check-in! Bleah.
Morty, that's a long route from the USA, but maybe Gary & Cath could benefit from it?

I was wondering if I could chance the ferry over that last morning to catch that 8:20 AM flight? The first ferry departs Moorea at 0600 and would be in Papeete at 0630 or so. Still enough time to make the flight , if nothing goes wrong. I still prefer ATN though. But it's something to consider when I take prices into the mix.

Yes, Barbi, we have considered that one but since we almost have enough points on ATN for a free flight we are sticking with them for the time being.
It could be a nice vacation one day though, to stay at Aitutaki and then fly onto FP!!
