godzzla~ Yes the path can be restored. It was only the last part that washed away....maybe the last 10-12 feet or so. It looked like most of the sand ended up in the back yard of the private houses! LOL! It'll just take some manpower and several buckets of sand to fix it. As soon as I get around to getting my pictures posted, you can see the damage.
And...sadly Tehai has ALSO retired! And you could tell! NO ONE raked the beach down at the annex area the entire time I was there! He used to do it every day!!! I swear, pretty soon there will be no one left there! :-( If Olga and Georgina ever leave, I'm leaving too!
Also, sadly, I did not see Bruno. I love Bruno. What a sweetheart he is! I heard 2 different (but similar) stories about him. Both said he had a leg injury. Some sort of serious swelling in his leg. But not life threatening or anything. One version had him on Raitea and another said he was still on Moorea. But in either case he was not currently working with Hiro. Not sure if he will be going back with him or not. The few times I saw Hiro's boat going out from where it is normally docked (near the Mobil station) Hiro was driving it. So many bad stories about Hiro...personally I hope Bruno does not go back to him. And honestly, without Bruno, I'm glad Hiro's is no longer operating out of CBH. They are now referring guests to Albert's Tours across the road.
Another interesting tidbit. Matahai (the owner of the Blue Pineapple) is now also the manager of CBH....Rose's old job. Jay is training him to run the day to day operations. Not sure what I think of that yet.
A year late, I just read this. So sorry I missed it earlier. I assume everyone knows that Matahai's family owns the land and CBH just leases it. Any reports on how it's going at CBH? We own, used to go every year, but haven't been in two years.

Hi Dia...I am just getting ready to go again next week. I leave on the 30th...I'll return on the 15th of Feb. I'll give a status report as to what is going on with CBH when I return.

Thanks, Patti. Looking forward to hearing how things are going and how the new management situation is working. (Website still claims and brags on Rose. Hasn't she been gone for three years now?)
Have a great trip. May the weather make it up to you this year!

Actually I had a great time last year...WITH the weather! LOL! It was kinda fun and exciting. Not sure I would have felt that way had it been my first time or I was on my honeymoon or something special....but we still managed to have a good time despite the weather. I am the queen of making lemonade when handed some lemons! :-)

I have thought about that when it was rainy a few days on vacation. It was fine with us, but I wondered how it would be if we had brought someone who we have told that this is the best place on earth? Maybe they would be like us and think it is.
One year when it had been sunny for days on end, I actually welcomed the clouds and a little rain.
