To all that have answered all our questions, thank you very much!! Most were answered before I even asked, this forum was soo helpful. March 8th is coming up on us quickly now! Running down the checklist and marking them off one by one. Yves was great! Our travel documents arrived the other day!! The only thing we have left to do is buy sunscreen!!

Have a great time in FP, SuCo! Relax, and remember there will always be little glitches and you have to roll with them. Slow down and enjoy paradise when you're there.

Old Wife, That will NOT be a problem. With life's day by day glitches, family, work, snow, snow, and more snow, I am all about slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying paradise with my new hubby. I try to live life with the motto: "sing like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching, and laugh, laugh and laugh!!! What better place to do that than in paradise? The kids will be here when we get back, work will be here when we get back, and the snow will probably still be here when we get back, too.

Buy lots of that sunscreen because it costs an unbelievable amount in FP...not kidding. Like $20 or more a bottle.

I heard that you can't bring aerosol bottles in your checked luggage? is that true? I just bought a bunch of aerosol items...sunblock, bug spray, etc. Anyone have problems with Air Tahiti Nui?

I bring aerosol items to FP in my checked luggage all the time. As recently as 3 weeks ago....I had both sunscreen and bug spray. I've never had an issue with it.

Just returned from my 6th trip. BUT...I am a lightweight compared to some in here. Barbi and Hamara are probably well over 50 trips each! And Poehere is lucky enough to actually live there. We are all insanely jealous of her!
The worse part about going to FP is also the best part.....you catch what we refer to as the Tahitian Flu. There is no cure for it...and the only thing that seems to keep the symptoms under control are repeated visits to the islands. :-)

wow 50 trips?? I'm sure after going there I will catch the same flu you guys seem to catch :) I just wish we could afford to keep going...any tips on making it cheaper? this is setting us back about $8k and that's only airlines and a place to stay for 9 days....so maybe another $4k in food and activities?? does that sound about right to bring with us?? This is our honeymoon so we want to do it right and be able to do all of the activities we want to do. We were thinking of even going to the grocery store in Moorea and getting PB&J sandwiches and pasta to save money. any suggestions?
