Hi all,
I know this was covered before regarding what kind of adapters to bring, but it seems like it may vary depending on the hotel. I do have the simple adapters but my friend who went several years back said his battery charger for his Canon Powershot got completely FRIED because the voltage was weird or something. Not sure how this could have happened other than by a surge in electricity perhaps...
Anyway, I was planning on bringing a 1600w converter and adapter or two. Maybe a good power strip in case I want to plug in multiple devices.
Are there any specifics that I should know about regarding the Pearl in Moorea, the IC Le Moana, and the IC Thalasso in terms of power adapters and electricity? I don't want to fry anything I bring! Most of my stuff is 110v-240v adaptable but that doesn't mean it's not prone to getting fried! Just want to play it safe.
Thanks!

The only thing I've ever brought with us is the 2 prong (round prong) adapter pictured below. We have charged iPods and cameras with it without a problem. I've attached a picture.

Check the fine print on the electronics you are bringing. The only things that will "fry" or need a voltage converter (not recommended) are those that do not say they can handle up to 240v. Most cell phone, battery, iPod chargers are now able to handle the 220 volt electricity that is used in most of the world, including FP. If so, you don't need a converter.
All you will need is the plug adaptor pictured above. And in most resorts, there is even one American-style plug somewhere in the bungalow, usually the bathroom.
