This may be a fairly dumb question, but how do you get from the airport on Bora Bora to your hotel? We are staying at the Sofitel Motu and how do arrange transportation and how much does it cost?
Thank you in advance.

TLove, I am assuming you have your travel arrangements booked through your TA? It is best to get the transfers included with the accommodation to save any hassle. The Sofitel Motu will pick you up from the airport in their transfer boat.

No I am booking everything on my own. Seems to be significantly cheaper than going through a TA. Hotels can pass along commission discount to me.

Maybe someone from the US needs to jump in, but we can get better "package deals" when we book through a TA. It usually works out for us that if you add it all up separately, ie international air, inter-island air, transfers, accommodation, meals etc, that the actual cost savings for us from Oz is around $3K (approx the cost of 2 x return international air tickets).
By the way, the TA on this website offers very good deals as well.

Hotel normally arranges for your pick up, they have a greeting desk at the airport. Request that at time of your booking and check price, otherwise you can take the BB airport boat shuttle service (free) which will drop you off at the dock in Vaitape (main village) where you can either take a taxi or get (road) transportation from the Sofitel and from the hotel the shuttle to the motu (5 minutes)

It's definitely easiest to just arrange that your resort pick you up (in your case, contact the resort directly). When you get off the plane in Bora Bora, there's a booth for each resort. They wait for everyone to deplane and go to the booth and then they take you by boat to the resort. Make sure your camera's handy--it's a beautiful ride around the island!
