I am looking at the OWB Marara on BB. Can anyone give me insite on the hotel overall, OWB decor, and depth of the water? Should I be looking at any other hotel?

We stayed at the Motu and had access to the Marara's pool, beach, bar & restaurant and loved it. I have a couple of photos from the Marara on my webshot page if you want to check it out. There is a picture of the pool, the beach and of the pool/bar/restaurant area with a couple of OWB in the background.

We did get to see the inside of one of the beach bungalows and it was nice. The OWB are right off the shore and stand in only a few feet of water, but you will have a nice deck.

We stayed at the Marara the same time as Bsinutah. We had a beach bungalow. I didn't think the OW's were that hot. It was a long walk to get to some sand. They do have a nice deck, and are in shallow water. For the price difference, I would go with a beach bungalow. We stayed in #20 and had a really nice view out the front doors.

The back of the OWB is on land and there is just a strip of land between the bungalow and the road..some people were very upset about the street noises. This seems to me a real bummer since you expect to get away from that particular set of noises when you are in an overwater.

we stayed in a beach bungalow- the one on the far right end closest to the tiny dock for dive excursions. Loved it. Yes, OWB too shallow to make money's worth, in my opinion.
