I'm not a regular here and haven't posted for almost 2 years but we are hoping to head to Huahine and Bora Bora in November. Is anyone else going around then?
We are probably going November 14th and staying for 4 nights at Te Tiare in a premium garden and 5 nights at the Nui in a deluxe OWB. The Nui actually priced out better than the Sofitel Motu and Le Moana. Does anyone know if the Nui has a la carte breaky like the Hilton Moorea? I'm so excited.
We are bringing our 7 year old daughter this time around. Out of the 3 of us she speaks the best French. She will miss school but she is in the French immersion program so I figure we can call it a "learning trip". She is already excited. Now I'll just cross my fingers and hope my office doesn't restructure me out.

Yes, Barbi, at this stage we should be at Te Tiare from 11 Nov then fly out to Pearl BB on Tues 16 Nov (just waiting for international flight schedule due out in June before we book). Are you a diver, Waterbaby? I'll definitely be diving on Huahine and BB. As far as a la carte breakfast is concerned, according to Jan Prince's book, you can get 24hr room service, so you can eat what you want. In this case, you won't need to order three meals, you just share like your own little mini buffet in your room. There will be plenty of food to go around between the three of you, especially if you like fresh fruit. Even at a buffet breakfast, the egg dishes (omlette dishes especially) are cooked while you wait to your liking and fillings.

You are lucky to have a French speaker with you. It will make such a difference. We love the Te Tiare!

Well, we broke down and changed Huahine to Tahaa. We now arrive on November 10 and stay 4 nights at Le Tahaa and 5 nights at the Bora Bora Nui. I figured we won't be heading back to FP for at least 5 years so I figured we'd go all out. We tried to add extra nights and try fit all 3 islands in but I had to stop myself from slowly increasing our budget. Very excited!

I hope to go to Tahaa someday myself when we have more time. Until then, Huahine calls.
