Back in 2004 Bruno, Old Charlie, and Felipe hosted a wonderful Sunset Cruise, and I posted the video I made on youtube. If you didn't have a chance to go on one, here's our memorable adventure:
Part 1 of 3:

Part 2 of 3:

Part 3 of 3:

I included pictures from our first trip back in 2002, and our first stay at Club Bali Hai, and on our first night the Blue Pineapple burnt to the ground. We had never stayed at CBH, and rented a garden room for a week. Big mistake. When the Blue Pineapple was burning down Rose evacuated the hotel, but our air conditioner in that tiny box was so loud we slept through Rose, and the fire engines.
When we woke the next morning the hotel was supplying baguettes and jam, but we walked past everyone in the lobby telling them we were headed to the Blue Pineapple for a delicious bacon and egg breakfast. Rose laughed as she told us we missed it by a day.
Today the Blue Pineapple looks out over the most beautiful view in the world. I think things worked out pretty well.

I forgot to mention we upgraded to an over water bungalow the next night and the rest of that week in 2002 was paradise.

Oh, that was fun. Thank you!
BTW...how is Bruno's leg or foot or ??? I heard he was having some fairly serious problems with it back in Nov or Dec...just curious if he is all recovered from it now.
I miss Bruno so much... he is such a sweetheart...it was horrible without him there at the desk this past Jan/Feb....although I will admit, I didn't mind not seeing Hiro. :-) CBH is just not the same...Rose is gone, Nelly, Valestine, Rosalie...and the guy who used to get the crabs for the crab races... and now Bruno....it's just not the same without those guys. Gosh...if Georgina and Olga ever left, I don't know that I'd even want to go back.

Bruno is good as far as we could tell. No limp, and he told us of his four hours of swimming before we went snorkeling, maybe therapy.
Tehai was the crab collector, and what a great smile he had. According to Muk there was an argument between Tehai and another employee, so Tehai quit and went to Bora Bora to work at one of the hotels. His family stayed in Moorea, and he would only see them very little, and he said they weren't very nice to him on Bora Bora, so he quit and found temporary work at the Kaveka hotel back on Moorea. He was working there two weeks ago when we were there, but sadly we never were able to stop by and talk to him. This information came from guests at CBH.
Olga was at the desk most of our stay along with Tenoa, and it was nice to see Nelly coming out of retirement to help out the rest of the time. She was also very busy helping finish the remodel of over water bungalow #34. Wow. It is amazing how nice it looks with it's two bedrooms, beautiful wooden floors, gorgeous bathrooms, and the amazing kitchen. If they upgrade all of the over waters this way I think business will improve incredibly.
On our flight back we saw Nelly as she boarded our flight to L.A. with her final destination being France. On top of that she was in the seat behind us on Air Tahiti Nui. Her daughter in France just had a baby, so she will be there for four months. She said she will miss her home very much.

Wow! Thanks for the update on everyone! They were just getting started on that remodel when I was there. They were scrambling like mad to get the pandaus roof on before the cyclone hit!
