Snorkelling better at pearl or fare vaihere?

We love to snorkel and have been to moorea several times. Between these two, which has better snorkelling? Thx in advance!

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but what kind of experience do you want with your lodgings/food/company? Me, I'd go with Fare Vaihere so that I was having a more authentic Tahitian experience! Plus you'll save money.

I've snorkeled around the Pearl the entire time I was there in October, and it was quite nice. The reef under the OWB was nice...I'm talking about the reef next to the deep water channel and not the nursery. The surrounding area also had some nice wild life swimming about.
But the best for me was swimming across the channel to the barrier reef. Was lucky enough to find a ray my last day there, but the encounter was short because it just took off once it detected my presence.
