here is a website of the new hotel that is being built on Huahine (in French). It's scheduled to open April 2011. It's at the old Bali Hai site.

Wow, cool! Lots to read about there and the photos are fascinating. I love the design of the bungalows. It's nice to see something still Polynesian-looking without being exactly like so many other bungalows.

No, not that I read. It was a long thing about how the people arrived in FP (and the other Pacific Islands), pottery and a biography of Peter Owen. Then all the photos with blurbs about what the photos are about. There is an RSS feed I didn't sign up for.

Those bungalows look quite luxurious in the drawings. I was hoping there would be something mid-range near town as it is an ideal location, but they look like they might be quite pricey.

I don't know why more people don't go to Huahine.
With these new resorts such as Tetiaroa and the casino on whatever island it is, I wonder if they will get people to fill them up.
