Another special - four days in Tahiti - $694 plus $98 in taxes.

And this years tourist arrivals are way below last years really bad ones.
It's like they want absolutely no tourists to visit French Polynesia. And they'll get their wish.

Yeah I was just playing with their fare calculator for air only. If I wanted to fly on Monday and return Friday it was $380 Monday which gets me in Papeete at 2300, and a return flight Friday the same time at $421.
If I wanted to fly in Sunday, arriving at 2300 or 0530 (mon)it jumps to $409 but the same return flight jumps to $450. I can understand the departing flight fare change but why penalize me on the same return flight if I try to get the full 5 days in Tahiti?

Well I plugged in a Monday flight with a Saturday return and it coughed up a more palatable $859. Maybe I'll use that free weekend night at the IC like last time so I'm nice and comfortable waiting for the 23:59 flight. I have enough points for a free night there too. Now just where to stay in Moorea?

I want to spend two or three weeks in November - the off season.
Then the fare goes to $1230.00
Do they not want anyone spending money on Air Tahiti airfares, on outer island accomadations and food, etc?
I haven't been to every island in the Pacific yet. Plenty of places to go where I'll be welcomed.
I'm going to register for Facebook tonight but if anyone belongs please ask them why they only want visitors who stay 4 or 5 days.

It is actually more than 4 days... as the fare includes a "hidden pleasure" of having a stupid strike blocking you for at least another 5 days on top of the 4... so it should rather be read as a 9 day special for only 750 us $ WOWOWOWOW! LMAO
