Oh that is too funny. Well...at least we made out point to them. They certainly noticed and a bunch of other people did too. I'm sure it's not going to change anything, but at least we made our point.

I have yet to see an advert on TV in the UK by ATN or FP tourist board. Don't know about advertising in continental Europe but surely there are plenty of people in the UK who would holiday in FP if they knew about it!

They do not have the kind of advertising budget necessary to do that kind of stuff. The best free advertsing they can do is to have the islands used for movies and TV locations.

Ooohhhh...I guess they pulled the plug on me totally. I thought they had just deleted my posts. But now I see I can no longer comment on their Facebook site at all. The comment box is simply not there for me anymore.
Oh well, I probably wouldn't say anything nice anyway unless they have a good sale for more than 14 days. Although the only time I have ever said anything bad to them or about them has been in relation to their short stay sales. Otherwise I have no issues with ATN at all.

I asked (nicely, though someone else seemed to roll their eyes at me) if they had a longer-stay special coming up and they said late August or September. If you guys like it once they post it, I can tell them that, LOL!

I have to go peek to see who rolled their eyes.
You know I understand them not wanting bad comments on their site when they are trying to promote themselves. BUT...the Internet is a double edge sword...you can live by it, you can die by it. They can't always expect everyone to just fall all over them selves with ohhhs and ahhhs with these short stay sales....some people are going to point out the deficiencies too.

The thing is, when I asked *nicely*, they did respond that there's a longer-term offer coming up soon. Now why couldn't they have responded that way to you two? All they had to say was, "This offer is for shorter-term stays, but stay tuned because we have a longer one coming up"? Poor customer service, IMO (I think you just got their backs up, but customer service requires you rise above that kind of knee-jerk reaction).
The person who rolled her eyes said something like, "Oh, no, that this again."
I was just curious how ATN would reply to a nicely-worded comment. I wanted to see if they'd delete me or be rude to me at all. Points to them that they didn't (and I wonder if they dreamed up the longer-stay offer because of you--and others--complaining).

I will probaly still get the emails from ATN because I use a different email on FaceBook. They send offers to my real email account.
