LOL, oh ... I didn't even see her response. ;)
I know you can use both facilities, I just wanted to know which one is on a nicer section of the lagoon. I hear some prefer the La Moana b/c the different shades/depths colors of the water.

Did you like the view at the Moana? We'd ruled that out when we went because we wanted to be on a motu and see Mount Otemanu really well (we picked the Sofitel Motu because of its view and privacy...and the snorkelling was fantastic, too).

Yes, I did like the view at La Moana and the amount of fish I saw there just under the bungalow. I also heard the snorkeling is better at La Moana than at the Thalasso?

Le Moana is simply old. The rooms are old. The environment is nice,
a nice beach, great shallow water. Not very high end, quite casual. So-so view.
Thalasso when opened was amazing. Very clean and new, amazing
bungalows, much, much better than Le Moana. Unbelievable view of Otemanu.
But now it's showing some abuse already. The crowd has changed,
it used to be all American, now it's much more European with families,
crying kids, French topless. The bar is still great, Bora bora drink - our favorite.
It's also somehow hidden from the wind so it gets hot there.
Their service got really bad some times, some times it's OK. Never great.
Four Seasons is the place to go right now.
The best bungalows, amazing service, clean, great crew.
Exposed to the wind, so it's never hot there. The view - even better IMO.
If you can get one of the 4 best bungalows, you will cry :)
I have many pictures from both places on my website

Thanks Andrew ... beautiful pictures by the way! Is the water at the Four Seasons shallow or deeper?

Hi Andrew, I think the changes in terms of nationalities is due to most resorts offering these days very low rates for locals (French expatriates) to fill up the places with some even offering rates so low putting them in direct competition with the small pension familles... = crazy
