I hope I am thinking of the same place you are - I don't want to mislead you. If it's the same place, we went to it in mid-May 2010, and it was great. I didn't encounter a woman owner who did not like Americans. The owner now seems to be a young-ish friendly man who was very welcoming to us (Americans). We were staying at Chez Nono and we ate dinner at that roulotte 3 nights in a row. (The chicken with vegetables became my favorite.)

I last went there in 2003. It was just to the left of the entrance to the Intercontinental as you were walking to the main road. I remember there being a curved thatch 'fence' sort of. I thought the lady was a bit snooty but didn't realize she didn't like American's until we were there and a group of French people brought some American friends there and were laughing about how "She didn't like Americain". Not that I really care, she can like or not like whomever she wants! I'd rather have Tahitians staffing my roulotte than frenchies any day!

Glad to hear there is still a roulotte there, regardless of whose it is.
