Hi Everyone, We are heading to FP in next couple of weeks. We will be staying at IC Thalasso for 3 nights, Hilton Moorea for 4 nights and IC Tahiti for 2 nights. We will have a rent a car during our entire Moorea and Tahiti stays. We are Foodies and like to experience different gastronomic experiences.
Please critique our restaurant selections. Please do not hesitate to suggest/ Add other places.
BB: Our dinners are included at Thalasso, So one night we were going to venture out to Kaina Hut. (We are going to leave Villa Mahana for honeymooners, as we don't think our kids will enjoy it anyway).
Moorea: 1) La Villa des Sens 2) Mayflower 3) Te Honu Iti 4) Le Cocotier (with La Licorne d'Or as a backup)
Tahiti: 1) Le Coco. . Then for the next choice, there is a toss up between La Corbeille d'eau AND L'o a la bouche !!!!
Any thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Can't chime in on too many of these, but we love Mayflower and Le Cocotier on Moorea. Te Honu iti is good, but not our favorite. Do not skip the Roulottes on Tahiti, by the cruise ship dock. Really good food and a fun experience.

On Moorea you may want to try Martinez (former Alfredo's, with new chef/owner!). Both Licorne d'Or and Te Hono Iti are for sale.... My favorite is La villa des Sens although it is a real "wallet wopper" and don't know if your kids will enjoy it???
BB, Kaina is one of the places still going strong so to speak... your kids will like that and even Bloody Mary (they do hotdog and hamburger lunches too...), although Kaina hut's food is much better...
Tahiti, Le Coco's, maybe forget about that one... although it used to be one of the best, food quality seems to be declining, very tiny portions with crazy ingredient mixes... but that is my perso opinion. Close by is the Blue Banana, with outside deck, not too expensive, good choise of food (not same league as Coco's) or pick one of the 3 at the marina Taina yachtclub (La Casabianca, Pink Coconut or Quai des îles) it's great place to have drinks at the waterfront. "Downtown" For gourmet dinner I'd pick l'O à la Bouche... iso la Corbeille, one to try is also le Velvet at the new hotel Tahiti Nui, avenue Prince Hinoi
Bon Appétit
