Loc: Wollongong, Australia 		Since we are flying out in 9 weeks just wondering what the latest exchange figures are? I am hoping to exchange some at the airport bank and also if anyone knows the current credit card exchange rate as well please?

Loc: Washington/Moorea 		Use xe.com for the daily exchange rate.
The banks will be 3-4 points lower than xe.com
I can't give you any info on cc rates

Loc: Mesa, AZ 		My most recent credit card statements (Capital One Bank) are showing the bank rate rather than the consumer rate. Use a credit card whenever possible, and shop for one that doesn't charge an exchange fee (most charge a 1-3% currency exchange fee; Capital One does not).

When I left Papeete last week, the airport bank was giving 88-89 cpf for $1 USD; the bank rate at that time was about 93.

Loc: Wollongong, Australia 		Thank you all for your info - unfortunatley our cc does charge a currency exchange fee but it usually works out about the same because the rate is better (and plus it saves carrying loads of cash around).
