Hello,

My wife and I are going to Tahiti in a few weeks but first we are going to Easter Island. Our flight arrives in Papeete at 6:20pm and our next flight leaves at 12:30am. Assuming we get in on time, after immigration and collecting our bags, will we have enough time to get to the roulottes for dinner? Also, what time should we be back at the airport for check in?

Are there taxis from where the roulottes are so that we can get back to the airport?

If we don't have enough time for the roulottes, is there anything close to the airport that is recommended for dinner?

Thanks for the assistance!

Lan Chile being an international flight for Easter island you'd need to be back at the airport at 9 pm'ish (3hrs prior), now getting in around 6.30 pm on another int'l flight with immigration will get out of the airport around 7.30 pm... which does not really leave you a lot of time going by taxi to the roulottes in Papeete. There is a good restaurant "Océane" across the road from the airport or a couple of roulottes when you head out to your left on the main road, about 5 minute walk only but be aware of your bags as the area around the airport is the most populated one of FP and may not look like paradise after dark...
