Islandboy, we are considering Vahine Island for a few nights this November. We like the smaller settings. We really don't know any French though. Would we have a problem communicating with the staff? Is some English spoken? Lucile

Hi Andie. Le Taha'a (in my opinion) is the most perfect place on earth. But, there is nothing to do - nothing to see - no one to interact with (if you choose), and nothing to dissappoint you - PERFECT. Just what you need to completely relax and soak up the company with your spouse and enjoy each other without interuption. The staff are the most friendliest and accommidating you will find anywhere in the world. The rooms are to die for - the water is calm and clear and are at the perfect depth if you want to take a dip. And as far far as food goes - if you want lobster or vehnesin - then ask and you will receive. Perfect in every sense. We haven't stayed at Vahine, and probably never will, after our 2 (and soon to be 3rd) experience at Le Taha'a.

Andie, here's my trip report on Vahine Island. It's quite long as it also includes Moorea. Vahine is the first section.

Hi Lucile, It is easier if you speak some French but you can certainly manage if you don't.
