Hello Folks - Any comments on this pension? I gather it's next to the Hilton (good snorkeling!)

I haven't seen it, but try a search here because it's been discussed before (one review said it's noisy). I see it has a kitchen but no restaurant. You'll have a very long walk to a magasin for food for cooking (there's a small magasin past the Hilton that has pop, baguettes, etc., but you'd probably want a bigger one if you're cooking all of your meals and the closest one I can think of is in Pao Pao--quite a walk away and, yes, we did walk that far from Pension Motu Iti). Mind you, you could walk to the Hilton, Pension Motu Iti or Aito's for meals if you want (or get picked up for further places that have transportation).

Why didn't I think about that....! Anyway, I found the post you're referring to. It's from Rodjune and it says:
There's another pension next door to Sheraton called Village Faimano. It has very good reviews but can be noisy at night on weekends when there is said to be a lot of wonderful Tahitian singing and dancing from locals who may be staying there. You'll be within walking distance of Magasin Vaiterua (grocery store), Tupuna Pizza, and the amenities of the Sheraton if you so choose. It's one of the pensions we are considering on our next trip to this island - AND you will have very close access to the snorkeling in the lagoon fronted by the Sheraton.
I could deal with the tahitian singing if they let me join in!!! ;0)

If you are looking for a pension in that area, please also consider Fare Nani, which is between the Hilton and Faimano. Very nice bungalows, with kitchen, a quieter property, and the owner Maeva is wonderful!
