Hello,

Listed on Huahine Nautique's website are the Motu Picnic and then Marc's Motu Picnic with Outrigger. Does anyone know if these are different, or just the same thing with a different name? They seem about the same price - motu picnic 9500xpf or w/outrigger $100.

Thanks!

I'm guessing one is normal motu picnic and the other one may be a private one (ie ten times the cost??)

That makes sense. The outrigger would just be for a couple.

Maybe I typed that incorrectly. I thought 9500 was around $100 USD? Or do I have the decimal thing down wrong. In Jan Prince's books she writes out currency like 9.500, which I think of in my head as $95 (plus a bit more for the exchange rate). Am I wrong, is that really $950?

Anyway, we chose the $100 one, it's the main advertised one on their website and they emailed us a good description of it. We're not looking for a private excursion because I don't want to pay buco bucks for it, and I like people and don't mind a group! We will be on this excursion in less than 2 weeks! So excited. :)

The motu picnic is 9500 cfp, the private motu picnic is 95000 cfp. So roughly $100 vs. $1000. The decimal in the European system is used like a comma in the U.S. system.

Holte, call me crazy, but we paid US$1000 for Patrick's Bora Bora private 4x4, lagoon and motu picnic in December 2009. It was an all day thing from around 9am-4pm.

To make the "ouch" factor of the price a bit easier to swallow we hooked up with Lorio and her husband (from this website) and paid $250 pp and we loved it!!!

G&C, we want to do that exact tour on BB, but the price is too steep for us! It does sound fantastic though.
