Thanks Old Wife - I just checked and Delta is giving me this...(3 months)

Passport required.
- Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid 3
months after day of arrival.
-Visa required, except for A max. stay up to 3 months in any 6
months:

Tahiti Visa also says 3 but strongly rec's 6 - http://tahiti.visahq.com/

This is frustrating, anyone know for sure?

-Thanks

I have always been told (at Tahiti immigration) that the passport needs to be valid for SIX months from your travel date. Your concern should be with what French Polynesia and your airline require, not what your home government states on their webpage. As with the 30 day-90 day confusion shown above among the various French Consulates, it is doubtful you are going to get a clear answer from their webpages, which conflict.

Do you want the stress of arriving at the airport and being told your passport is not valid for the trip? I would renew now, despite the need to do an additional name change after the wedding. Why take the chance on a honeymoon trip of a lifetime? And, compared to the total cost of the trip, passport renewal is barely a drop in the bucket, cost-wise!
