Hello everyone.. We have traveled all over the world and last year we spent 2 beautiful weeks in Moorea and Bora Bora and simply fell in LOVE with Moorea. We stayed in an overwater villa at both locations and we were in complete heaven. I am looking to book our trip for this March and not sure where to go thats going to top Moorea? Anyone know of anything or anywhere in the South Pacific that is comparable? Thanks for your help!

Nope. That's why we all keep going back to our favorite place!

Aha, another poor soul succumbs to French Polynesia flu. I'm really sorry, but there's no cure for it. You just have to go back to Moorea.

On a serious note, there are some pretty islands with turquoise lagoons in the Cook Islands -- Aitutaki is beautiful! -- and ANZ has some mightly nice airfares from LAX right now...

I miss ANZ going to Tahiti. They had such good deals and they let you know months in advance. No time limits either.

We'd visit Moorea and Huahine times a year if it wouldn't cost us over $3000 for 2 (including Air Tahiti interisland flight to HUH) to get there. We'd be happy to spend our $$ in FP as well as explore other FP locations but just getting there from LAX takes a huge chunk out of the travel budget.
There are good deals to be had with a little research in Fiji and the Cooks...not the same as FP but still tropical and much less expensive in the long run than FP. Also Thailand and Bali......though they are a bit further than the South Pacific thus the air can be about the same as getting to Tahiti....but waaaaaaay cheaper once you get there!
I mean this most sincerely, lots of luck finding an alternative to Moorea. You might give Aitutaki a try in March.

I've been to Fiji 3 times, Bali once, Thailand once, Cooks once, FP 5 times. Do the math. Nothing compares to our FP!
