PB Moorea & Bora vs. BC Moorea & Maitai Bora

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has any good insight to offer. We are going to Moorea and Bora Bora for our honeymoon in June and for a similar price we can stay at either the Pearl Beach in a garden bungalow on Moorea and an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, or at the Intercontinental Beachcomber in a garden bungalow on Moorea and Le Maitai Polynesia in an overwater bungalow on Bora Bora.
I'm leaning towards Pearl Beach, but my main concerns are location and accesibility to activities and restaurants.
So any opinions from experts who have been to these properties? Any help is greatly appreciated!

There was one hotel expanding with some major construction going on and I think it was the maitai. You might want to avoid
