Howdy folks! I'll be traveling to Tahiti in early Feb. '11. The cargo/cruise ship to the Marquesas departs about that time. I'm looking for someone to share a cabin with to avoid the 50% single occupancy surcharge. After the cruise, I'll probably go to the Tuamotus for some diving, then to the main islands for awhile. In FP for about a month. Anyone interested?...Byron in Denver.

Check out this trip report (part 1 of 5) from a traveler who had a great voyage on the Aranui 3 staying in their 8-bunk dormitory:

Hey thanks! I just read it. I just fired off an email to "whoever" at the Aranui site inquiring about the dorm rate.
I would rather stay in a suite or cabin, I can afford it. Just trying to save that $1500 or more surcharge for other things!
We'll see, hopefully someone will come around...Byron.

I met a woman when I was in Huahine a couple of years ago that was in the dorm on the Aranui.
She enjoyed it.
