Add my name to those that would skip Le Meridien. We were staying at Sofitel Motu and wanted to visit Le Meridien to plan our next stay. The front desk gave us the rub-off and said they were too busy to allow us to take the ferry over to have a look. On the other hand the Bora Bora Nui welcomed us with open arms and gave us the complete VIP treatment. The person at the Le Meridien was not very courteous and short. All the staff we encountered at the Nui were warm and pleasant to deal with. I for one will never again consider staying at what is clearly a hotel with poor attitude and service.

O please dave they guy at the shuttle dock was rude so the entire hotel is bad? Usually the guy watching the shuttle table, as it may, trys to keep the none registered guest out. Its very similar to Hotel Bora Bora where they want to keep the privacy of the guests. Sure the Nui wants people to visit since their occupancy rate is less than 50% since they opened. The Nui is a great hotel but the prices are a little high.

This was the general manager I spoke to and she wouldn't give me the time of the day. The shuttle guy actually seemed sympathetic to us. Sure we are French here but don't take this attitude thing to the extreme. If you heard her voice you may have agreed.

You must have spoken with the wrong person. The GM at Bora Bora is a male and he would love to know who was rude. If you have the name of the person email it to the GM on Tahiti. They are very responsive of bad service and do reply.

Thanks Andy, I will write to let them know. Your point is well taken -a bad experience with a staff member should not reflect on the entire hotel. First impressions count though and I will let the gm know that. Yes the Nui needs business but at least they are doing the right things to get people to stay with them.
