We were at HBB in Feb and had a spectacular time. By far the holiday of a lifetime. I was told from this board that #128 was the best and it was! We requested early on and reminded them a couple of times about our request including just before departure. We also talked to HBB marketing in LA and again voiced our desires. You will have the time of your life. #128 Has a perfectly unobstructed view of Mt. Otemanu to the right and perfect sunsets slightly left. Straight out is the motu where the Nui is and also the location where the resort boat is tied at night. The OW is set out further than the rest so you have total privacy, we rarely saw our nieghbors except for when we were on the lower deck or in the water. Water depth is great for diving in off the deck and snorkeling is great. We even saw sharks on occasion in the evenings but were easily scared away when I dove in. Inside the room were two resident gecko's keeping the insects under control. Enjoy yourself, I am jealous that your going.

Thanks for the info. How do I go about requesting that room? do I call HBB directly or through my travel agent? Thanks again

I think your best bet is with the hotel directly. Once your reservation is confirmed you will most likely get a call or letter from Marci with HBB Marketing in Los Angeles. This will happen closer to your arrival date. When it does keep in contact with her and let her know your desires. She will forward your request to the hotel in addition to providing literature about the hotel and activities etc. Most important, have fun with the adventure!

Yes, and just about as deep as it gets. There is one large head of coral slightly left of center from the deck that if you try you can touch it with your toes but other than that you can not touch the bottom.
