We liked the food at Pension Motu Iti. Not high-class or fancy, but good and filling. Their homemade ice cream was really excellent (you can get one scoop of each flavour--don't miss the vanilla)!

G&C you can not walk from Hilton to Papetoa (yes you could but it's hot and you'd have to walk all the way around the bay and then much further...)
But you could get a bicycle... (lunch)?

For the resto's best to get a pick up, too dark to walk at night and to far as indeed Aito unfortunately is no longer what it used to be... :(

Motu iti is next to Aito and not too far from Hilton (15 min walk) and yes they have good food at very reasonable prices but you may have to check if they serve both lunch and dinner

Les Tipaniers has a very good Italian restaurant. Les Tips is one of the oldest restaurants on Moorea and they pick up at the Hilton. For over 25 years of going to this restaurant Iv'e always been pleased with the food and the service.
