Hello, I try to choose a villa or a bungalow in Moorea on www.aha.com or on www.homeaway.com, but there's too many questions... Is there an agency who can find for me a house cocerning my requests? Nothing special: for 2 persons, beachfront, w/kitchen, a/c, wifi, stand-alone (very private), sunset view. Please, if there's a special agency for houses to rent in Moorea, let me know, cause I can't find it on the internet!

Welcome to the forum!
Try www.farehamara.com. It is not a beachfront house, but with beautiful views of the bay.
You might also like Te Nunoa, again not directly beachfront but a lovely private bungalow directly across the street from a beautiful beach. www.mooreabungalow.com
Also, this link will provide you with a listing of pensions and family guesthouses in French Polynesia and may be helpful. http://www.haere-mai.pf/index.php?page=accueil&lg=en

Thank you very much! I looked everything, but I'm afraid it's not what I'm really lookong for... And there isn't any agency who could answer my requests, that's what I understand. And even property owners don't tell me anything by phone, they say "write me by e-mail" and when I write them, I don't get any answer... I have an idea just to arrive to the island and look for a house by my eyes. It will be in June. Do you think it's crazy idea and I won't find anything at all? Or I have a chance? Are all guesthouses full in June and July or some of them are still available? Please, help, I need your advice!!

You should look at French sites...

I would not arrive without a reservation somewhere, as that is the beginning of high season, and you might have difficulty finding a vacancy. Also, not all properties are visible from the road, and not all properties have rental signs ("a louer").

You may wish to consider Huahine. A fabulous house right on the beach is Huahine Beach house.

Although not on swimmable water, it is right across the street from water and includes a house, car and boat.

A couple of suggestions:
Robinson's Cove
http://www.robinsoncove.com/
Villa Corallina
http://www.villacorallina.com/en/situazione/situation_moorea.htm
Both are beachfront (or a short walk) and both are relatively private. Villa Corallina is not the most convenient location but the trade-off is the privacy.

Thank you all! I'm now in correspondance with Robinson's Cove and Villa Corallina. Will write you the results. By the way, why you write that Villa Corallina is not very convenient? Because it's on a small island or there's another reason?

Hi Jenny,
Villa Corallina is located on a motu (small islet) separate from the main island of Moorea so perhaps less convenient than a main island location. I believe they provide a free boat shuttle to the mainland from sun up to sun down but if you wanted a later dinner on the island the shuttle wouldn't work. I know that they provide a small motor boat and kayaks but I believe the motor boat requires a staff member to accompany you. There is a restaurant located on the same motu and a meal plan is available from the villa using that same restaurant so it is not necessary to eat dinner on the mainland. Also, the shops are a short walk from where the shuttle drops you so you can certainly pick up some small groceries quite easily. I just didn't want you to be surprised when you arrived.

Hello! At the end we decided to not to book anything and to look for a house to live by our eyes. It's risky gamble, I know... We'll see. We've just paid our flight, hope we'll get visas soon and - we'll see Tahiti and Moorea anyway! We are even ready for camping. It's really impossible to find an ideal by photos and descriptions, especially for a quite long stay... Ok, we'll get adventures and we'll travel more maybe... by the way, I'm now getting my first scuba-diver certificate.
