Is there anything to do in Bora Bora at night time? We plan to go to restaurants for dinner, though afterwards, are there places to go or things to do?
Thanks.

Which hotel are you staying at Stan? People sleep early and get up early in the islands...
There's only one "nightspot" in BB called Le Récife and I would NOT recommend you going there.

We're staying at the Intercontinental Thalasso.
Why do you recommend NOT going to the place you mentioned?
Thanks everyone!

Stan, with the time change, the fresh air and sunshine (and swimming and snorkelling and hiking), you'll likely crash early and get up early. Don't go to local bars because of fighting, but if your resort bar is open, you'll be fine there. I think you might be surprised, though, at how ready for bed you are by 10 pm!

Stan, from what I understand that place is a locals hangout NOT a tourist hangout. PLUS.....you won't be able to get back to the Thalasso if you stay out too late after dinner anyway. Not sure what time the last shuttle boat is between the main island and the Thalasso, but it's not super late.
You can have a drink or two at the bar at the Thalasso after dinner....but it's not a fun bar scene...it's more a quiet romantic spot.
As Barbi said, most nights you'll be lucky to make it to 9 or 10 pm. Bring reading materials for the evenings. Or...just enjoy sitting on your deck looking at the night scenery and having a drink or two.

Barbi, coming from the east, we have trouble staying up until 8pm the first few days there, but I noticed Stan's from LA so he would be 3 hours behind us.

Stan, it is not a nice place, lots of drinking and fighting, if you're staying at the Thalasso you could take the shuttle to le Moana (=sister resort) on Matira, get a cab and have a drink at Bloody Mary's bar... but there's really no night life (bars) in BB, only restaurants

The sound of wind rustling through the palms, the soft glow of the Milky Way, and the scent of tiare in the air will probably be all the entertainment you need. If you're in an OWB you can always feed the fish bread. Sounds lame. Is awesome!
