hit the tarmac in Tahiti. Turn off any electronic device you may
have brought with you for the duration of your vacation and enjoy the island life.

Bring your sense of humor. Don't sweat the small stuff. And as Joe said...leave your American attitude at home and just go with the flow of island life.

I'm referring to the "I want it now and I want it fast attitude"....and the "Why don't they have English TV stations"... "Will I be able to see the Super Bowl/College Basketball/Monday Night Football/Oscars"... and the "I want regular American style food".
Many Americans just lead such fast paced lives they don't know how to slow down and have no patience for a slower pace of life....and they want everything to be exactly the same as it is at home. Obviously I am not referring to all Americans. I also know a great many with very good attitudes. BUT I also see a great many people over there with bad attitudes, completely impatient, demanding, and complaining about the most ridiculous stuff......and almost all of them are Americans.
That's what I mean by leaving your "American attitude" at home. Many people need to be reminded to slow down, relax, and enjoy the fact you are in a foreign country and they do things differently there than we are used to at home!
