First, I want to thank everyone here for providing such excellent pre-trip info. Everything was amazing, I was there for 9 days. The weather was fantastic for the first three days, and unfortunately, swells and wind kicked in for the rest of the trip resulting in poor water visibility for the rest of the trip.

I will write more later.

I'm so sorry to hear that you had bad weather for most of your trip. Was the viz ok for your deeper dives?

Sorry have to do this report in pieces, because so much going on right now.

day 1 = (arrival)weather and water incredible, we heard swells were expected for next few days so we scheduled diving on day 2
day 2 = dived with lemon and reef shark (amazing visibility and dives!)
day 3 = shark feed excursion, snorkeled coral garden, manta feeding, lunch on a private motu (weather incredible, everything incredible)
day 4 =swells kicked in. took a kayak to the Meridian to snorkel with turtles
day 5 = swells bad, skies become dark, went to the Thellasio Spa (wasn't that great)
day 6 = weather worse, rained, lounged around, went to town to shop and look at Pearls
day 7 - same weather, lounged around
day 8 = same weather, lounged around
day 9 = weather is great, just enough time to do some snorkeling around IC
Left :-(

This was my first time there, so I can hardly consider myself an addict, though I would very much like to go back :-)

An addict is a person who MUST go back.

Stan, nearly everyone on this board has a serious FP addiction. You'll know if you, too, have become addicted within a few months. Signs and symptoms: continuing to cruise this board months after submitting a helpful trip review; fantasizing about your OWB; beginning detailed planning for your next trip, even if you don't know when that next trip will happen. LOL.

Cruising this board for months? How about years, LOL!? The first time we went to FP, we thought it would be our one and only time (after all, there are so many places in this world to see). But I found myself hanging around here for years afterwards and, the next thing I knew, I was planning my next trip. Again, I didn't think we'd go again after that one, but now we're most likely going again next year. It can be an addiction that sneaks up on you, but once you have it, it doesn't go away!
