LOL about the photoshopping. We found that the photos we took didn't do the place justice (because when you're there, you're surrounded 360 degrees by the beauty while a photo is small and flat). The colours in the lagoon really are amazing.

If only photos could capture the beauty of FP. They don't even come close.
I am very interested in what your husband will think as the Seychelles and the Maldives look fabulous but waaaay out of my budget

Holte, we went to the Seychelles when we were living in Switzerland (it's still a pricey destination but much much cheaper to get to from Europe so we decided to go for it). Tahiti is hands-down more beautiful, no question.
The scuba diving was different, and worthwhile, but we felt like the overall quality of diving was better on Rangiroa and off of Taveuni in Fiji. We may very well be moving back to Switzerland in two more years, in which case I will begin lobbying for a visit to the Maldives!!!

Yes. My husband went to the Maldives and Seychelles when he was younger. He is a French citizen so he went with his parents. He said it was beautiful but I bet he gets blown away by FP!
