We visited Lapita while we were on Huahine. They were very nice to us, and even showed us a room. The place is gorgeous, really elegant with lots of subtle, well thought-out design details. The prices are very reasonable compared to Te Tiare. The property has only a small beach front, though, and the bungalows are built around a little inland pond. There was a good breeze while we were visiting, and I believe the units are all air-conditioned, so if you are worried about nonos, you could just close the windows and doors and put on the a/c at night.

There are some lovely photos in their album on Facebook. Do a search for "L'hôtel Maitai Lapita Village de Huahine"
