It looks like a lovely spot but if I'm going all the way to Bora Bora, I can't see myself schlepping a tent without A/C. It gets hot on the beach, camping without shade. I'd want my pop-up pavillion too, and that's more luggage, lol. Looks like good fun, though.

Wow, that a find!
I think it might be the old Club Med picnic site. I was there, not at Club Med but on the motu. I took a water taxi out there for the day. It was the most incredibly beautiful spot with the mountains of Bora Bora in the background and the colors of the lagoon are so incredible there. The water had the stunning Bora Bora color transitions. Tour boats drop people over to hang out there for a while too.
I was thinking of perhaps taking a tent because I wanted to camp at that place on the south of Huahine-iti. (And they have free internet there - on BOB that is.)

Do you mean Huahine Camping? If so, the owner has the traditional medicinal gardens there. Very beautiful. I think he has little huts to sleep in as well if you don't want to bring a tent

It's the old club med picnic spot. The BB camping was initially set up to accommodate the children's holiday camp. Every year a holiday camp is organised for children in need, picking a different island each year. Great initiative!

they changed the name a few years ago to Huahine camping. A very beautiful location for sure. And the owner Hubert Bremond has received the Maururu award from the Tahiti Beach Press
