Just a word of caution here and sorry about that but better be safe then sorry.... The Te Tiare has been put up for sale by its owner who made that public last friday, bidding is accepted until Sept 30 by an Australian real-estate broker. It won't necessarily mean someone will buy it (especially with current unstable political situation) but the owner wants absolutely to get rid of it...
So if you book it ask a guarantee of some sort just in case...

so perhaps the worst has happened. The owner had to keep the Te Tiare for 10 years, is it? Everyone was worried that he wanted to sell, but when the 10 year anniversary came and went without a sale, I was breathing a sigh of relief.
If it does not sell, do you think they will abandon it?
A lot of people rely on it for work.

Hi P, so what is happening with Rudy?
We are booked from 8 December for 5 nights, paid in full, so hope everything is OK with the resort, as Huahine is the beginning of our vacation ...

sig47, I can't tell the dates of your posts (how do you do that?), but that negative review of te Tiare should be discounted out of hand. That person is either a troll or a person who should never have gone to French Polynesia in the first place. Should have gone to Hawaii or Key West. Fare's in FP are so terrific. We never use air conditioning. Let the cool ocean breezes caress you as you sleep. I have not stayed at te Tiare, will be the first this January. But I have stayed in overwater and beach front fare's on other islands. Most do not feature air conditioning, and those that do, we turn it off and open windows to enjoy the South Pacific air. It is wonderful. The poster you quoted should stay in the USA and visit his truck stops. You will love the overwater bungalows in FP for your honeymoon. Go for it.
