- does my future employer or me have to apply for it? and already now when I am still in slovakia or when I come to Tahiti?
- what about return ticket to tahiti? do I have to pay it or my future employer?
- is it possible for me to go to Tahiti ( for 3 months I dont need to have turist or business visa as EU citizen) ?

you can start by looking on the French consulate website. Is there a French consulate in your country?

I think that any arrangements for tickets are between you and your employer.

I think as an EU citizen, there is no time limit, is there, for how long you can stay? Or is it one year without a visa? I am not sure. But three months for sure.

There are lots of offers with AirFrance and Air Tahiti Nui to fly quite inexpensively from Paris to Tahiti

Hi Lucia, if you're a European citizen you can stay max 3 month without a visa but will need return airplane ticket.

If you want to get a workpermit, your future employer has to make the application here in FP which takes time as the employer has to prove that the job can not be done by a local resident (you'd need to have qualities/experience/education that no-one has here...
The future employer must also give proof of being up to date with paying taxes and social security... reason very few make such demands LOL
The future employer has to provide transportation from and back to your home country.

Not impossible but takes a while and lots of paperwork....

Lucia,

I am not a resident of FP, just travel there very frequently and am familiar with the visa process for U.S. visitors, so I have some familiarity with the websites and how to find info about this issue. Poehere is a FP resident, and is extremely helpful with local issues and requirements regarding residency, work permits, etc.

I hope the information we've provided you has given you a good start in the process! Keep us updated on your progress too, because it will help others with similar questions in the future.
