We are going to moorea for our anniversary,133 days and counting, have waited 35 years so its getting closer.I had planned on having dinner on the beach at the hilton for our special day,I just found out the only night they dont do the beach dinner is sat,Which is the day we need,Can all the great posters help,Which other hotels would be a good choice to check,or is there a best/special place on moorea for this kind of dinner,my budget is about 350.00 ,it also happens to be St patricks day? Thanks for any help

Start by going up to Legends Resort for Happy Hour. Beautiful view out over the infinity pool and the IC resort. Have a bottle or 2 of wine and enjoy the view. Then go to La Villa des Sens restaurant on the property. Really pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommended by some local friends. Or you can email the other large resorts on the island and see if they do a dinner in the sand on the beach. Either way, you're in paradise.

Le Mayflower is also a very good choice.

Ditto for Le Mayflower. I would start with happy hour drinks at sunset at Legends, which is right down the road from Mayflower. Make sure you make dinner reservations a day or so before. (St. Pat's Day is not a big deal in FP; most people won't even know what it is...)

Te Honi Iti used to be be really delicious (gourmet dining) but the owner has now opened a new place in Tahiti so his son is behind the stove... some people rave, others don't
Le Cocotier is very nice too with good dining (French), a small place in Maharepa
I would suggest though that you send an email to the concierge of the Hilton explaining why you'll be there (anniversary) and that you'd really apreciate them making an effort to accommodate private dining on the beach or maybe at your bungalow to celebrate the very special occasion for which you waited all of 35 years... Feb/March are slow months anyways, so give that a try!

Le Mayflower is closed for vacation until January. We ate there on Friday the 25th, then after Saturday night the 26th, they closed.
