Anyone been here lately? I was wondering about the food and service. Last year both left a lot to be desired. JB was so loaded he could barely stand.

Thanks Bob and Poehere. But is it worth giving it another shot?

I think Vanina, JB's wife, is there now, running the place, while JB is in France waiting for a liver graft. Last I heard, while on Moorea in August, was that there was a terrible smell coming from the shore under the restaurant -- might have been a seasonal thing, though. I'd give it another try!

There was no smell in Sept. Joe I'd give Aito's another. There is a new place in the old Irene's mountainside that several of our guests gave good reviews of. It's just before the bridge going to Petite Village.

Bob, is that the old pizza truck/resto? Or is this something else. I'm always up for a new place. Also, did you see Lilikoi Garden Cafe while you were there? They are at the bottom of Cook's Bay I believe.

Joe, it's not the Olive pizza roulotte, but a new owner of the Irene's restaurant, just on the other side of the bridge. I wish I could remember the name!

Randy can't remember the name either, but says that Peter at Pai Moana Pearls also highly recommends the new place, says it has great seafood. Irene's used to be popular with the locals but fell out of favor, for some reason I don't know -- the locals like the new owner and menu!
