Thank you for all the feed back. I think we are going to stay at Randee's shack. when you said to take a flashlight for safety was that because of the walk can be tricky or for safety as in from people?

The walk in the darkness would be tricky. If you walk along the beach, there are rocks to climb and a small creek to cross (jump over--very easily done in daylight, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it in the dark without a good flashlight). If you took the road, there aren't enough lights to be safe from cars (or to see where you're walking). Walking along the edge of the road--there isn't a lot of room for people and drivers can go pretty fast (and close to you). I'd just plan to be back to Rande's by nightfall.

I agree with the walking at night. The natives are always walking at night on the road as well as the beach, so it can be done. I just don't like it.
