Between 4 days in Moorea and 4 in Bora Bora, we are staying 2 days the Taha. Any recommendations on which one is best? We probably won't do an excursion there, but if compelled, any ideas?

My bungalow numbers may be off, so someone correct me if I am wrong. Beach bungalow #149 is the furthest away from the hotel and most remote but I didn't care for the angling of the bungalow. The bunglow #s go up as you get closer to the OWB with bungalow #158 being the last one in this set of beach accommodations. I stayed in #157 and was at the very edge of the Sunset OWB. The view was fine to me but some people may like ones in the #155 - #150 range.

Absolutely, do not get beach bungalows 159 and 160. They are located between the hotel and pool with a lot of foot traffic nearby.

With only two days in Tahaa, I would not do any excursions. Just enjoy the beauty of the bungalow. I went on the shark/ray feeding excursion and would not recommend it. Try to do that type of excursion on Bora Bora or Moorea.

wcclee is close- the bungalow numbers are from 49-60. I recommend #51, since it's where I stayed. It was not obstructed by the OWBs and it was set back from the main path, and down quite a ways, so the only people walking by would be those going to #s 50 and 49. I've heard mixed things about #49 (noise from locals since it's at the edge of the resort) and #54-60 views tend to be blocked by the OWBs. So, I'd stick with #50-#53.

Just returned home last night! - Awesome...anyone who has had complaints about Le Taha are crazy. The resort is beautiful and the bungalow's are once in a lifetime. We were in #49 at the very end- Definately very private and best view for the sunset because it actually sets behind the bungalows and 49 is at the end of the island. I guess you do get a couple of people who walk down there at that time of evening. If you need to complain - long walk to the pool. Tough price to pay. Sometimes you just can't have everything. Privacy and convenience do not go hand in hand. The more upscale restaraunt was only dissappointment. We thought we made reservations based on the menu in the other restaraunt and then realized 10 min. in it was the wrong place. Tough to get up and leave at that point. Food was excellent but ambiance put us to sleep by dessert. - confirmed the next day by another couple. Taha was awesome - 3 days would have been perfect. Manea Spa may have been the best ever!

Glad you had such a wonderful time! My husband and I actually loved our long walk to the pool, because it gave us sometime to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and to appreciate where we were. We would walk down the path, arm in arm, and just smile \:\)
