hey msoprano, I just got back from my honeymoon on sunday which was capped off with a 4 night stay at the thalasso. If you're worried, like I was about the "soft opening" don't be. the hotel is absoultly georgous. they are still doing a lot of constuction to the unfinished parts, but you hardly even notice it. The meal plan is great, if you received the same promo that we did which is an american breakfast and dinner. The americcan breakfast is more than most americans can finish; it includes coffe, tea, fruits, yogurt, breads, and choice of eggs or pancakes and beacon. The dinner we were alotted 7000 cfp (apx $70 US) per person for every night which would include an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Both of these meals where in one restaurant, the other restaurant was only open for lunch. This was as good as any great restaurant in NYC, everything was perfect. They were putting the finishing touches on a 3rd retaurant during our stay buti don't know if it will be open in time for you. I'll be updating this site with some more info about the thalsso when i get some time. have fun!!

Hi JBinKG...
Really looking forward to you posting more about the Thalasso! Glad to hear you loved it. If you have any pictures to post please do! Would love to see them...am heading there for my honeymoon as well in November of this year!
To the original poster...I had emailed the resort and asked about the meal plan. I figure we will want to go out to dinner some nights and didn't want to lose out on our free included dinner. They responded to me very promptly and told me that I can exchange the free dinner for a free lunch if we do decide to go out to dinner any night. And yes you can also use the free dinner at their other Bora Bora resort on the main island. They provide free transportation to their other hotel.

The restaurant at Le Moana is fantastic, FYI. We absolutely loved it. They had one night when it was a "set" menu and each course consisted of 3-4 Polynesian dishes. It was a lovely way to try all sorts of different things in a more gourmet fashion than that afforded by a buffet.
