About 5 minutes from the airport, the Hotel Kia Ora is set on the most beautiful beach of the atoll's northern portion, amid a secluded and vast coconut plantation.
The resort is a paradise for water sport and nature lovers.
The hotel offers garden, beachfront, and overwater bungalows. Built completely in Polynesian style, all the bungalows ring the lagoon along a beautiful white sand beach on the north shore of the atoll.

There are 28 garden bungalows, 24 beachfront bungalows with private splash pool, and 10 overwater bungalows. Each bungalow is built in a style blending noble and precious materials with international class comfort including a lounge, separate bedroom, bathroom with shower and a private sun deck and terrace. The interior design and finish display tasteful examples of Polynesian arts and crafts such as woven bamboo, carpentry and shellfish ornaments.

Kia Ora Village features a charming overwater bar overlooking the lagoon’s magnificent sunsets. The creative design of this bar, built on stilts over the water is a great opportunity to get together with friends for a drink or an exotic cocktail. The terrace with its glass floorboards looking down in the lagoon, offers a romantic atmosphere under the stars. A choice of sandwiches is available outside the restaurant dining hours. Among the homemade cocktails: Blue Lagoon, Pink Sands, Lagoon Secret and Rangiroa Blue Sky.

The hotel offers an a la carte menu as well as an optional meal plan in a beautiful open-air restaurant. The restaurant greets you in a relaxing atmosphere where exotic decoration and furniture put you in the mood for a delectable feast especially prepared by our chef.
With a taste for exotic savors, the chef has created an original menu combining tropical flavors and aromas with international dishes. Seafood specialties and fish fresh from the lagoon are also part of the menu. Do not miss the delicious desserts prepared by the pastry chef and an extensive wine selection to match your meals.

A barbecue buffet takes place every Wednesday and Sunday evening with a Polynesian dance show and local music.

The Bungalows:
- 19 beach bungalows, with lounge, shower, ceiling fan, mini bar/fridge and coffee and tea facilities, and jacuzzi on front deck.
- 3 Beach Prestige bungalows, with bedroom on the first floor, Jacuzzi and lounge
- 10 "Prestige" over-water bungalows with private terrace, a lounge and separate bedroom. They feature a glass coffee table into the lagoon.
- 5 garden suites with separate bedroom, bathroom with shower lounge, refrigirator and terrace
- 23 garden bungalows with refrigirator, shower and terrace.

The Activities

Available at additional cost:
_ All-day picnics, Deep-sea fishing, Scuba Diving, Boat rentals, Sunset cocktail cruises, Glass-bottom boats and shark feeding, a visit to a black pearl farm, boat excursion to the Pink Sands and the Blue Lagoon.

The Scuba Operator is conveniently located at the hotel and offers instruction and special excursions. Dives are $67 US and include all gear and equipment.
