Kia Ora Sauvage

An extension of the Kia Ora Village, the Kia Ora Sauvage is set on a private islet in an uninhabited area of Rangiroa atoll, less than an hour away by boat and a million years from civilization.

It only has 5 beautifully decorated beach bungalows bordering pure white sand beaches, offering total privacy in the shade of the tropical vegetation.

"Kia Ora," Tahitian for "welcome," aptly describes this unspoiled paradise. Beautifully decorated native bungalows, gourmet food and delightful hosts invite a maximum of ten guests to this tropical island experience of a lifetime. The pristine beauty of this enchanting small island surrounded by deserted islets and a crystal lagoon teeming with sea life provides a dream-like setting for an ultimate romantic vacation.

With purposefully no power or phones, the remoteness may not be for everyone. But, although it may appear rustic, there is no "roughing it" at the Sauvage.  This is "sophisticated rusticity" with personalized service and delicious meals which you will be sharing with a few other privileged travelers in an amazing island scenery with nothing more to do than lie in a hammock, fish, snorkel or collect shells and wander the endless reef. This will be your Shangri-la.

Meals are expertly prepared by your talented host and hostess and are served in the shade of a huge tree on the beach or on the large communal table in the restaurant/lounge..

The very private and spacious bungalows feature a king size bed, as well as a day bed and a separate bathroom with hot shower.

Note: purposefully, there is no electricity in the bungalows.  You will enjoy the gentle and intimate glow of oil lamps as they are brought to your bungalow at dusk.

There are daily activities including snorkeling excursions, reef discovery, walks to nearby deserted islands, or doing nothing at all in the hammocks scattered on this private Eden.

There no diving facilities at the Sauvage, but plenty of excellent snorkeling.
