I did do a search and saw lots of posts about the luggage storage at FAAA Airport, across the parking lot. I only found one post here with their hours, and I believe they said they closed at 6pm? Is this still the case? Our flight to honolulu doesn't leave until 1am on a sunday morning, it would be nice if they could hold our luggage to 9 pm or so, so we can have a dinner at the market? Or maybe that wouldn't work?

Woohoo we just put the deposit down on our tahitian honeymoon today!

when we flew home from BB, we landed in FAAA at 1p.m. and our flight didn't leave for Lax till 10p.m. so we just camped out in the cafe and read and hung out. (NOT FUN!!) i say all this to say, i wish we had used the luggage storage, you are on the right track!

We just got back from Tahiti a week and a half ago (wish we were still there) and did the luggage storage at the FAAA airport, our plane didn't leave til 10pm - anyway it was open until 12:30AM while we were there and worked great. Left our luggage earlier in the day, took Le Truck to Papeete, walked around, then came back later and all worked out fine. Worth doing!

We also got back just a few days ago. We flew into from Bora Bora about 7pm and left our luggage there. It was 1430 cfp for three pieces. And she said just to pick them up by 12:30am We didn't have a flight out until 2:30am so we took a cab into Papeete and had a fabulous dinner at a French Bistro & Wine Bar called "Le Rubis". We got back in plenty of time to pick them up and check in for our Air NZ flight. Had a much better time than a couple travelling with us who had booked a room at the Royal Tahitian for a few hours. That hotel is nowhere near the airport, and the shuttle stopped at a couple other hotels before theirs so it was 9:30pm before they got dropped off. Pretty expensive for two hours sleep before heading back to the airport!
